Finally, a solid win.  This was fun, glancing at my phone while updating next year’s work schedule. Gio was on his game, through 8 innings!  They were able to string a bunch of extra base his together.

Espinosa (who has his own troupe in this drama) hit his first homer of the year. Span contributed. Werth earned some of his outrageous salary. Harp got another homer under his belt. 

The only guy who hasn’t stepped up yet is LaRoche. He went 0 four 4 today. Only reaching base on what would have been a double play, but Werth got himself hit with the throw. More about him later.

The biggest troupe is one I’m afraid to explore, but as time inevitably ticks on, I will be forced to… Is this the start of a turnaround, or merely a statistical blip? Even the suckiest teams win a game every once in a while. Is this a temporary respite or a return to what I want?
